THE OPTIMIST exist as a space for design and creativity, influenced by optimistic narratives. I've been designing most of my life. I got my first sewing machine at 10 and started making lipsticks out of Crayons at the same age. My career goals are to be a creative director and a cosmetic chemical engineer. To me, this is one career, I want to be a designer. To reach these goals, I operate from optimistic narratives that support designing more diverse industries.

When Virgil passed in 2021, I was devastated. He was the future and he was in the right spaces paving the right paths to let everybody run in and create their own industry. Following his passing, I felt a sensation of responsibility to be more proactive in the philosophy I say I stand for. THE OPTIMIST is an early career attempt at this. This brand/idea/archive is nothing without community. This platform is also used to document the cool people and opportunities I get to be apart of because of community.

I'm excited for what this could be and where this could go.
